FIFA has announced the names of 16 stadiums for the 2026 World Cup including 11 in the United States, 3 in Mexico, and 2 in Canada. This is the first world cup with three host countries and also the first that will expand to 48 teams in the competition.

As the number of team increase, so does the number of matches. There will be 80 matches in the 2026 World Cup which was 64 matches in the 32-team World Cup. The stadiums of the three host countries will host 60 matches in the United States, 10 in Canada, and 10 in Mexico.
The United States has been allocated 34 group matches, 12 rounds of 32 matches, 6 rounds of 16 matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Mexico and Canada will host each 7 group stage matches, 2 rounds of 32 matches, and 1 round of 16 matches.
