Cristiano Ronaldo has received a formal record-breaking proposal from Al Nassr FC, a Saudi Arabian football club based in Riyadh. The Portuguese superstar is reportedly set to accept the contract.
Al Nassr FC already approached Cristiano in the summer but the Portuguese star decided to stay in Europe. But earlier this month Ronaldo and Manchester United mutually terminated contact after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan where he criticized the United board, manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s infrastructure.
The official proposal is understood to be close to €200m per season until June 2025. It’s a record bid in football history. There’s a key point: a big part of the proposal is in sponsor agreements/deals and so not just normal salary.

Ronaldo’s lawyers will check if the image rights can be agreed upon as the main part of the proposal includes commercial agreements.
Cristiano Ronaldo has not decided on his future yet as he’s 100% focused on the World Cup with Portugal, who advanced to the knockout stages on Monday after a 2-0 win over Uruguay. It remains open.
