Belgium superstar Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from international football on Instagram.
Hazard wrote on Instagram – “A page turns today… Thank you for your love. Thank you for your unparalleled support. Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my international career. The succession is ready. I will miss you….”
Belgium forward made his decision after Belgium eliminate from the 2022 World Cup group stage, they beat Canada but lost against Morocco and shared a point with Croatia.
Eden Hazard starts all of these matches but his performance was not up to the mark.
The Belgian playmaker made his debut for Belgium in 2008, with 126 appearances scoring 33 goals and was part of Belgium’s Golden Generation.
Belgium coach Roberto Martinez also left the team after being eliminated in the Group Stage of the 2022 World Cup.
